Italian Serie A side Sassuolo says there is no truth in reports linking them with a move for Monaco Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru.
Reports has it that the Serie A side have offered €9 million for the wing forward who spent the second half of last season on loan to Galatasaray from Monaco.
Onyekuru per the report isn’t keen on the move and want to prove himself at Monaco but a scout of the team revealed to thedabigal that Onyekuru isn’t among their targets.
“ I saw the news that Jeremie Boga will be sold soon by the club. That’s not true and on Onyekuru there’s nothing about him from Sassuolo. I know of players who were scouted by the team and he isn’t among”, he said.
Although there’s a chance that ex Chelsea starlet Boga will be sold. His sale is however not imminent as no side has made known their intention to sign him hence no price tag has been set yet.
On his part Onyekuru is expected to join his teammates in France soon for pre season training as he hope to get his career back on track following the sacking of both coaches Leonardo Jardim and Roberto Moreno. The two coaches he couldn’t convince last season.
