Senegal has become the first country to qualify for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

This follows their 1-0 win over 10-man Guinea-Bissau at Estádio 24 de Setembro in Bissau on Sunday afternoon.

Senegal’s winner came in the 82nd minute, thanks to Liverpool’s Sadio Mane.

The Lions of Teranga had beaten the same opponents 2-0 at Stade Lat-Dior last Wednesday.

It takes their tally to four wins from four matches.

They top Group I with 12 points, while Guinea-Bissau remain on three points, three behind second-placed Congo who are away to eSwatini on Monday.
