Actress and singer Lady Gaga has taken to social media to defend Cardi B following the severe backlash the rapper received upon receiving the award for the best rap album at the Grammy’s.
Trolls dragged Cardi who they believe does not deserve the award adding that it is an insult to black women for a Latina to during the Black History month.
Gaga however, doesn’t see things tjhis way as she penned some words of support for Cardi writing;
“It is so hard to be a woman in this industry. What it takes, how hard we work through the disrespectful challenges, just to make art,” she tweeted.
“I love you Cardi. You deserve your awards. Let’s celebrate her fight.
“Lift her up & honor her. She is brave.”
Cardi has since deactivated her IG account.
