Russian side Spartak Moscow have turned down the option of signing Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea following his failed move to Saudi Arabia side Al Nassr, OwnGoalNigeria.com understands.
Reports from Russia has it that Spartak refused to take up the option of signing the 30 year old with concerns over his high salary demands and also the medical issue, that was said to have cost him the big money move to Saudi Arabia.
Ziyech who is close to disgraced star of the team Quincy Promes is said to be keen on a move to the Russian side, despite the fact that he was roundly criticised for partying in the city in the wake of the drug case of Promes.
Their rejection of the Moroccan is coming weeks after they made a proposal to sign one of the vice captain of the senior national team of Nigeria Moses Simon, who is leaning towards an exit from French side Nantes.
Simon was contacted by a Nigerian agent, who works with a player agency that is well respected in that region and recently handled the deal that saw Nigeria U20 goalkeeper Chijioke Anigboso join newly promoted Ukrainian side FC Polissya.
The 28 year old is however studying other options particularly as he is keen on remaining in France where the Ligue 1 duo of Nice and Lille have also indicated interest in signing him from Nantes, where he has a year to go on his contract.
