Coach of Scottish side Rangers Steven Gerrard has once again given his opinion about Nigeria international Joe Aribo after his recent run of excellent performances for the club.
Five days ago, Gerrard was full of praises for the 26 year old terming him as a player who can do whatever he wants in several roles.
“I think he took his time returning from that in terms of getting his power, strength and bursts of energy that he plays with back.
“He had an illness on the back of that injury so it became a three month absence and that always takes time to get back up to speed.
“But now you see the real Aribo. Power, strength, bursts from midfield and skills – and now letting shots go because he’s got the quality. It was a fantastic strike and he’s back for real now.
Yesterday after their 5-2 win over Antwerp in the Europa League which sealed their passage on a 9-5 aggregate score, the coach praised the effort of Aribo while speaking on the performance of his team.
“ He (Aribo) can do no wrong at the moment with the way he is playing. We are lucky to have him here so too his national team as he has a great future ahead of him”, he said.
