Hot in demand Nigerian forward Sadiq Umar says he will be interested in a move away from Almeria only if he is sure of getting game time wherever he decides to go.
After scoring 20 goals in 38 games last season and with the failure of Almeria to gain promotion, it’s no surprise that he has been linked with a move away with several teams reportedly keen on his service.
Sevilla for now appear to be the front runners for his signing due to his close relationship with their Sporting Director Monchi, whom he worked with during their time together at Roma.
Sadiq is however adamant that he need assurances from any team he ends up going to that he is going to be first choice forward as he is presently very happy at Almeria and won’t mind spending another season at the club.
“ I am very happy at Almeria and the project we have is something I love and won’t mind another season at the club but if I must leave then it must be to a team where I am sure of getting a starting shirt”, he told OwnGoalNigeria.com in an exclusive interview in Kaduna where he is on holiday.
