Almeria Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar topped the latest ratings of players with the highest commercial value in the Spanish second division after his goal count of 20 in 38 games.
According to respected football players valuation portal Transfermark.es, Sadiq ha a value of €15 million which is higher than any player in the Spanish second division.
His value is higher than that of other outstanding players like De Tomas, Embarda and Javi Puado despite the fact that the trio helped their respective teams to promotion to the La Liga.
Sadiq’s teammate at Almeria Brian Rodriguez and Jorge Cuenca finished in fourth and fifth place respectively in the ranking released and made available to the editorial team of OwnGoalNigeria.com.
Already talks are on regarding a move away from Almeria who are not opposed to letting the lanky striker leave only if a fee in the region of €30 million is lodged for his services.
As it stands if Almeria get their wish of €30 million as his transfer fee , he will become the most expensive sale ever in the history of the Spanish second division dwarfing the €25 million paid by Benfica for Darwin Nunez last season.
