As the date for the start of the 2022 World Cup draws nears, players and coaches have been giving their opinions about the teams they will be facing at the tournament especially at the group stage.

Nigeria won’t be in Qatar for the World Cup but they still will be in the news with many using them as reference for other African teams who will be at the tournament, which will start on the 20th of November to the 18th of December.

Five teams will represent Africa namely Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, Cameroon and Ghana who stopped Nigeria from making it to the tournament. However Canadian star winger Alphonso Davies insist the Nigerian team still ranks among the fearer teams in the continent.

Speaking on their Group games, where they will take on Belgium, Croatia and Morocco. Davies said the although the Moroccans will pose a huge threat but the Super Eagles as the senior national team of Nigeria is called still represent the most feared team from the region.

” Morocco will be tough as the case with many African teams but we know a lot more about Nigeria as the feared force in that region. We will give the game all we have and hopefully get the result we need in the group”, Davies said while speaking on their group opponents.
