The appointment of Ange Postecoglou as coach of English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur has seen the club step up their efforts to beef up certain areas of the team ahead of the start of the English Premier League.

Postecoglou will resume on the 1st of July but he has been working behind the scene on players he will like to sign before the end of the summer transfer window. Defence from what has been widely reported is his first area of priority.

In that department he is targeting ex England youth international Tosin Adarabiyio who is having a stand off with Fulham over extending his deal at the club, which has a year to run starting from July.

Adarabiyio is seen as one of the players who could potentially plug the gaps in the holes of the defence, which proved to be costly last season and cost them a spot in European continental tournaments as they finished 8th.

Linked with a switch of nationality to Nigeria, he was visited by the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Austine Eguavoen last year. A move which many see as the first step of many towards representing Nigeria at senior level.

Last season the 25 year old made 25 appearances in the English Premier League with a goal to his name. He has his mind set on a move despite the fact that manager Marco Silva is keen on retaining him.
