Suspected Boko Haram landmine injures TCN staff in Borno

Two staff of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) were injured on Saturday when their vehicle hit a landmine suspectedly buried by Boko Haram.

The incident occured at Mainok in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.

A team of engineers from the TCN and Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) were on their way to some sites.

The officials had been sent to fix facilities damaged during terror attacks. Areas in Maiduguri and environs have been in darkness.

The wounded staff were evacuated to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) and are receiving treatment.
