New Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo wants to bring in  Switzerland forward Haris Seferovic, according to reports.

The 29-year-old helped his country to reach the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 with three goals in five games.

He opened his account during the 3-1 victory over Turkey and was joined on the scoresheet by Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

His best performance came in the shock last-16 win against France.

Seferovic scored two good goals to hold the world champions at 3-3 in normal time.

Kylian Mbappe then missed the decisive penalty as Switzerland progressed to the quarter-finals, where they were beaten by Spain.

That form ,saw his transfer value leap from €15million to €30million, which Benfica will now ask for.

According to the Mirror, that price tag won’t put off Spurs as they are set to bid for the player.

Nuno is a big fan of his talents and sees him as a potential replacement for Harry Kane up front.

The in-form Englishman continues to be linked with Manchester City and Manchester United as part of his search for trophies.

However, Spurs will need to bring in multiple forwards to even scratch the surface of Kane’s impact. Gabriel Jesus could also be taken to north London.

Seferovic came through the ranks at Luzern and then Grasshoppers in his homeland.

He secured a move to Fiorentina in 2010 but failed to make an impact in Italy.

Multiple loan spells followed before he joined Real Sociedad in 2014 for just under £3m.
