Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has identified three goalkeepers to replace David de Gea as his first-choice next season.

According to Sky Sports, De Gea’s future at the club has been described as “in the balance”.

De Gea is out of contract at the end of June and is yet to agree fresh terms to remain at Old Trafford.

It is understood “discussions remain open” as both the club and De Gea consider their options.

But United are looking at other goalkeepers including Porto’s Diogo Costa, Brentford’s David Raya, and Inter Milan’s Andre Onana – regardless of whether De Gea remains at the club or not.

Ten Hag has publicly backed De Gea on a number of occasions last season, but the Dutchman gave no assurances he would be number one next season if he stays.
