Golden Eaglets defender, Yahaya Lawali cut a dejected figure after his side succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Morocco on Wednesday.
The right-back was named Man of the Match for the second consecutive game despite the defeat.
Nduka Ugbade’s boys dominated the game but failed to convert the numerous chances they created.
The two-time champions had 27 shots, only four of them on target.
“We are heartbroken that we couldn’t take our chances, but we are sure to do better in our next match.
“We will work to ensure we are better and more efficient with scoring,” Lawali was quoted by CAFonline.
The Golden Eaglets will face South Africa in their final group game on Saturday.
