The coach of the Nigeria U20 team Ladan Bosso has revealed that he has concluded plans on the players he will be adding to his team for the U20 World Cup as the dates for the submission of preliminary list of players draws near, OGN reports.
Bosso’s team finished third at the Africa Cup of Nations to seal a spot at the U20 World Cup but the coach is far from happy with the performance of some players and he is already looking at replacing them.
He told OGN that he will take a huge part of the players who were with the team at the WAFU tournament and also the U20 AFCON but some new players will join the team when they open camp later this month.
The new players are drawn from teams in the different league levels in Nigeria and also from youth teams of top teams in Europe notably Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Norwich City and Inter Milan.
While attack still remains his major headache, he has concerns over his midfield as well with star midfielder Daniel Daga yet to fully recover from the injury he suffered in the first game of the Africa Cup of Nations.
To that extent he is excited over the willingness of Inter Milan youth team midfield sensation Ebenezer Akinsanmiro to be a part of the team for the tournament. He said he has high hopes on the 18 year old who was signed for around €2m from Nigeria Professional Football League side Remo Stars.
” Daga isn’t fully fit yet but I have this kid from Inter Milan Akin who will be in the camp and probably give us what Daga can deliver. I am relaxed since he is available. I have told you before that Joel Ideho from Arsenal , Ademola Ola-Adebomi from Crystal Palace and Nathan Coker from Norwich City will be in the squad”, he role OGN.
” My aim is to ensure that we give quality representation at the tournament and help players who can be a part of the Super Eagles in a short while begin the process”, he rounded up saying.
