Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has identified Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah as the finest attacking player on the planet presently.

The Egyptian forward has netted 12 goals in his opening 11 appearances in all competitions this season for Liverpool.

The 29-year-old is among the 30 nominees for this year’s Ballon d’Or award.

Salah netted twice against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League encounter at the Wanda Metropolitano last night.

“He’s top, top class and he’s certainly the best striker at the moment in the world because he scores goals that nobody else can score,” Wenger told beIN Sport.

“You have to play street football to dribble past people like that in a short space.

“He’s full of confidence and he’s creative.

“Overall, I believe as well that he is very intelligent because the sign of players that always improve is the intelligence.”
