Leicester City celebrated forward Jamie Vardy says he isn’t in anyway surprised by the form of Nigeria international forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

Iheanacho yesterday took his goal count in the English Premier League this season to nine goals after scoring his 11th goal In his last eight games in all competitions with a goal in their 3-0 win over West Brom yesterday.

Vardy who also ended a barren run of 11 games without a goal by scoring the opener said the recent goal scoring run of Iheanacho isn’t a thing of surprise because he has been doing it in training.

“Nothing has changed with Kelechi Iheanacho, it’s just clicked for him. That’s what we see in training every day. He should have scored more today but so should I!,” Vardy said.

Coach of the team Brendan Rodgers praised the forward for his run in front of goal but despite saying he looks likely to score in every game , he still demanded he continue to improve some aspect of his game.

“There is no doubt Kelechi is scoring and looks like he can score every game,” elated Rodgers told BBC Sports.

“There are areas of the game he can improve, like not losing the ball, but we are so pleased for him because he is working really hard.”
