Twitter user, @VictorIsrael_ who shared the video, wrote:

“I’m so embarrassed, angry and sad at the same time. Imagine the government giving one cup of rice as relief materials to flood victims in Bayelsa who did we offend?

Ah! We can’t suffer again like this in the next 8 years o”

Nigerians have reacted to the video in various ways, with many criticizing individuals who provide such limited supplies to needy people. Read some here:

@vian337
“After budgeting billions of naira, why are we so wicked for goodness sake? What will a cup of rice do for a family man. The kingdom of God is really not for black people.”

@DeejayHolla
“How sure are you that the individuals tasked with proper and equal sharing of these relief materials haven’t kept them. Everything isn’t the government’s fault. An average Nigerian will always abuse any position of power they get.”

@smugobikili
“My only questions is ” is this a relief from government or a good Samaritan doing what he/she can”? If the former, it is despicable. If it is later, then it is a free gift.”
