“We thought she died” – DJ Michelle’s sister insist death claims wasn’t a prank

The sister of Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Michelle Abesin, has shut down rumours insinuating that the dj fake her death, stating that they all thought she was actually dead.

It can be recalled that her friends and family had claimed she had been swept away at the beach before she was later found and rescued.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, November 21, Stella said contrary to the rumours making the round on social media, the incident wasn’t a prank, adding that they thought Michelle had died.

“Just to be clear, this wasn’t a prank. We thought we lost Michelle and we are lucky to have her back,” she wrote.

“We plead to the public to stop making bad jokes about something this sensitive and also Michelle has no access to phone or social media

“To our friends and families, thank you for your prayers and support.” she added.

She also disclosed that some person is impersonationg her sister and demanding for money from the public.

According to her, Michelle has no access to phone or her social media acounts at the moment.

“My heart is broken. Let her recover for God sake.” she said.

The man credited with rescuing her from the water a day later was interviewed at the beach.

He said in Yoruba that he had passed where she was on the water but his mind told him to go back. He did and that’s when he found her and rescued her.

He then performed CPR on her to revive her.
