The head coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Pedro Gonçalves says his team will do everything necessary to ensure that they knock the senior national team of Nigeria out of the Africa Cup of Nations, when both teams meet in the quarter final of the tournament on Friday, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Angola will be eyeing a first time semi final spot in the history of the tournament, while three times winners Nigeria have their sights on winning the tournament for the first time in ten years with their last triumph coming in 2013.

Speaking ahead of the game Gonçalves said the game will be extremely demanding than any other they have played so far at the tournament hence they need for them to prepare differently for it.

He said they will eat up every single grass on the pitch against the Super Eagles in their bid to ensure that they progress ahead of the team who are now odds on favorites to win the tournament following the exit of other top football playing countries in Africa.

“Nigeria? We will observe, prepare well for the match, obviously believing that once again it will be extremely demanding, but count on us for, once again, a game in which we will give everything on the field”, the 47 year old said.
