FC Porto director for communication Francisco J Marques says the club is not owing local Nigerian side Jega United of Kebbi State training and compensation grant for Nigeria international left back Zaidu Sanusi.

Jega United claim the Portuguese giants didn’t pay the mandatory training and compensation grant for the 24 year old following his transfer from Santa Clara last summer.

In a swift response Marques said all payments due to clubs who played a role in the development of the defender have been paid accordingly terming the claims of Jega United as false.

He also said it’s not true that Porto have been handed a ban by FIFA over their refusal to pay the Kebbi State side what they claim is due to them for their role in his development.
