Wizkid, a popular Nigerian afrobeat singer and Grammy Award-winning musician, recently sold out London’s O2 Arena during his ML tour in the United Kingdom.
Wizkid put Nigeria back on the map in the world of music on Sunday, November 28th, when he performed at the O2 Arena in London.
As promised, performing ‘Essence’ with Tems on stage was one of the night’s major highlights.
Tems, who is still ecstatic about the concert’s success, took to Instagram on Monday evening to share photos from the event.
Wizkid then took to the post’s comments section to express his admiration for Tems.
In a brief message, he said, ‘Love you.’
Reacting to the message a certain fan @Winni_dah_poh wrote:Star boy and star girl”.
@Queenofthesun added: ”That’s how stars do”
Nelson_rhymez wrote:”Words fail you”
Since collaborating on ‘Essence,’ the duo’s star power has grown.
In October 2021, the duo performed “Essence” for the first time on stage in the United States.
The song, which American artist Justin Beiber called as the “song of the summer,” just achieved an astounding milestone, reaching platinum status barely a month after being certified gold in the United States.
According to the BRITS Certified Awards website, songs are designated platinum when they sell 600,000 units. The records are given gold status but upon selling 400,000 units and silver upon selling 200,000 units, but this is based on the Official Charts Company.
