Nollywood actor and film director, Tobi Makinde, has showered his boss, Funke Akindele, with adulation after her box office triumph.
Kemi Filani claims that Funke Akindele being the first Nollywood movie to earn a billion naira in such a short period of time, shattered records in the Nigerian film industry.
Funke Akindele amassed a fortune of one billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety-one naira.
The Wikipedia Nollywood grossing table shows that Funke Akindele’s films, A Tribe Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga, are now the highest-earning Nollywood films of all time.
Tobi, who is one of the movie’s directors, took to his Instagram page to compliment her on her success. He said that the director had permanently etched her name on a rock.
He added that she was proof that you can be anyone you want to be and accomplish greatness as long as you prioritize God and have a strong will.
He wrote,
