Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has told the CEO of microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, Jack to ignore the suspension placed on the platform by the Nigerian government.

thedabigal had reported that the Federal Government on Friday announced the suspension of Twitter in Nigeria.

The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed had made the disclosure during a press conference.

He cited the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence as a reason for the suspension.

This is coming after Twitter on Wednesday deleted the tweet for violating its rules.

Reacting, Omokri in a tweet via his Twitter account told the Twitter CEO to ignore the suspension.

According to him, the Buhari government has no means of enforcing the suspension.

“The suspension of the activities of @Twitter in Nigeria by the @MBuhari administration should be ignored by @Jack.

“The Buhari government has no means of enforcing the suspension.

“Even officials of the Buhari regime are still on Twitter,” he wrote.
