The police in Lagos state has arrested, LASU student, Babatunde Adeyeye, after he was seen in a viral video french kissing a little girl confirmed to be his sister.
The video which went viral after it sparked outrage in Nigerians who noted that it was inappropriate for him to be kissing the little girl, a minor.
He apologized saying he only made the video and kissed her that way based on their “likeness” for each other as siblings.
His arrest was made known in a statement by the Lagos state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, who said the state Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu saw the video and instructed detectives from the Gender Unit to analyze the video and apprehend the suspect.
The team got Babatunde arrested today June 5 at about 11am. He has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for prosecution in Court.

It can be recalled that National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) boss, Tony Ojukwu, said despite the LASU student, Babatunde Adeyeye’s apology, he will be made to face the law as he has committed a crime against a minor.
He shared on his social media page;
”His name is Babatunde Adeyeye. Babatunde Adeyeye is a final year student of Botany in Lagos State University. He shot an “apology” video which was sent in to us today. He should be traced and arrested immediately. He has committed A CRIME against a minor and must face the law.” he tweeted
