Nigeria records 196 new cases of COVID-19 in five states including federal capital territory, Abuja

In Nigeria, 196 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in five states including the federal capital territory of Abuja.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed this on Friday in its daily bulletin for Friday, December 3.

Lagos led the COVID-19 infection table with 138 new cases, followed by Rivers and FCT with 23 and 18 positive samples, respectively, according to the agency report.

Imo (15 cases), Bauchi (1 case), and Gombe (1 case) were among the other states that reported new illnesses.

On Friday, two people died as a result of COVID-19 problems, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,980.

Meanwhile, after recuperating from the virus, 46 patients were discharged on Sunday.

In Nigeria, a total of 214,513 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed, with 207,403 people being released.
