A Twitter user identified as Munachimso has complained about the exorbitant amount men spend on the requirements to marry from Igboland.
She made this known when she shared a photo of the list of basic requirement for the traditional marriage between her brother and his Benue bride.
According to her, the total cost of the requirements was not upto N50,000. She stated that Igbo people needs to adjust their requirements
She wrote,
“But las las our marriage requirement di very high na alaIgbo. See what my brother spent to marry wife from Otuko, Benue state. All no reach 50K. We need to adjust.”
Reacting to her post, another Twitter user implied that Igbo girls are superior to others, hence the high bride pride. Munachimso, however shunned him, arguing that her sister-in-law is a complete package with character, charisma and content.
