The newly announced coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Jose Peseiro will earn a monthly pay of $70,000 (29 million Naira) per what OwnGoalNigeria.com exclusively gathered.

His salary is $10,000 more than that of former coach Gernot Rohr who was fired in December. He is however still on the payroll of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) until the expiration of his contract in December.

As first reported by this portal, Peseiro was handed a one year deal and he will be accompanied by two of his assistants aside the three other Nigerians who will work with him as first assistant (Finidi George), second assistant ( Salisu Yusuf) and third assistant (Usman Abdallah).

Among the Nigerian coaches in the technical crew, Yusuf who also doubles as the U23 and CHAN Eagles coach earns the highest which is 5 million Naira. 24 times less than what Peseiro earns.

We gathered Peseiro’s salary is that high because he will be responsible for the salary of his two assistants. Which included a physical trainer and a technical assistant. What both men will earn from his pay was however not disclosed.
